Course Overview

This course offers first class intensive practical training on how to complete effective cosmetic repairs on the majority of hard surfaces.

Who is the course aimed at?

The Cosmetic Repair Home Course is aimed at both private individuals who would like to learn the art of cosmetic repairs or organisations who would like to train their existing team.

How long is the course?

The course is for 5 days and runs from Monday to Friday.

What are the course objectives?

To complete effective cosmetic repairs to damage such as :

  • holes
  • chips
  • scratches
  • splits
  • dents
  • scuffs
  • discolouration

Teaching the techniques of :

  • resurfacing
  • filling
  • colour matching
  • spraying (aerosol, airbrush and spray gun system)
  • tinting

Which surfaces can be repaired?

Virtually any hard surface can be repaired. Some examples are;

  • worktops
  • units and end panels
  • window frames
  • sanitary ware
  • doors
  • baths
  • shower trays
  • garage doors
  • marble
  • granite
  • composite stone
  • canopies
  • white goods
  • stainless steel
  • tiles
  • flooring
  • radiators

  • bricks* (repairs and tinting)

Where is the course held?

We have two options available;

  • Training for 1 – 6 people at our purpose-built training facility in Tiverton, Devon
  • Training for 2 – 6 people at your premises. This could be a workshop, finished stock plot or similar

  • Scratches in plastics. i.e baths, UPVC, shower trays, white goods
  • Aluminium repairs
  • Colour matching with paints
  • Wax repairs on various surfaces
  • Scratches to worktops
  • Major filler repairs on worktop/wooden surfaces
  • Glue repairs – marble/granite/quartz/plastic worktops
  • Epoxy stick repairs – wood and worktops
  • Wax repairs to wood
  • Blending stick repairs to end panels and doors
  • Deep scratches on wood surfaces
  • Lacquer finishes – various surfaces
  • Fill and spray repairs (airbrush and spray gun) – sanitary ware/plastic/aluminium
  • Plastic repairs – aerosol finish
  • Fine scratches on wood effect
  • Internal door repairs
  • Wood repairs using filler
  • Stone & brick repairs (if add on is purchased)
